Steven K. Wilkes, CFA
CEO and Portfolio Manager
Steven received his B.S. degree in Economics from St. Mary’s College in Moraga, CA, and an MBA, with concentration in Finance and Investments, from the University of Notre Dame in Indiana. Prior to joining Hutchinson Capital Management, he worked as a Vice President and Portfolio Manager for Wells Fargo’s Private Asset Management division where he had $450 million under management.
He was also a Portfolio Manager for Leylegian Investment Management. He brings with him over 20 years of wealth management and financial analysis expertise. Steve’s responsibilities include portfolio management, serving on the Investment Committee, and new client development. Steve is a member of the CFA Institute and the CFA Society of San Francisco. Steve resides in San Francisco with his wife, Liz, and their three children.

Gage T. Houser, CFA

Gage received his B.A. degree in Economics from the University of California at Los Angeles. Prior to joining Hutchinson Capital Management, Gage was an Institutional Fixed-Income Salesperson for HSBC Securities and Credit Suisse First Boston in San Francisco where he covered pensions, foundations and mutual funds for fixed-income products.
Gage also worked as a Financial Consultant at Merrill Lynch for four years where he advised families on their investments. Gage’s responsibilities include new client development, portfolio management and serving on the Investment Committee. He is a member of the CFA Society of San Francisco. Gage lives in Marin with his wife and three children.

Bill received a B.A. from Gettysburg College and is a Chartered Financial Analyst. He began his investment management career with DuPont Glore Forganin in 1972. Before founding Hutchinson Capital Management in 1995, he was a partner and portfolio manager with Shuman Agnew and with Shuman, Schneider & Hutchinson.
He is an active member of the CFA Institute, the CFA Society of San Francisco, and the Investment Adviser Association. He is a past member of the Commonwealth Club Board and its Executive Committee, as well as the University of California San Francisco Investment and Sub Trust Committees. He has served on the Sonoma Academy Board and as President of the Sleepy Hollow Homes Association. Bill and his wife, Gail, have four children, and five grandchildren.

He has over 12 years of investment experience in the areas of portfolio management, wealth management, and financial planning. Also, he holds the Certified Financial Planner™ certification. Stuart’s responsibilities include portfolio management, new client development, and serving on the Investment Committee. Stuart lives in Sonoma County with his wife, Kate, and their two children.

Abhay brings with him over 8 years of investment management and financial services experience, most recently as an Investment Analyst for a San Francisco-based investment firm. Previously, he conducted valuation analysis of businesses, loans, and other investment instruments for Deloitte in New York and worked at Hutchinson Capital Management as a Research Intern. Prior to his investment career, Abhay was as a software engineer for firms in India, the United Kingdom, and the United States.
A native of India, Abhay graduated from the University of California Berkeley’s Hass School of Business with a Master’s degree in Financial Engineering and a Bachelor’s degree in Technology from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) in Madras, India. He also holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation and is a member of the CFA Institute. He and his wife now enjoy living in Marin.

Robert B. Meagher

Rob works directly with our Portfolio Managers in the areas of financial planning, portfolio management and client service. Rob interned at HCM during the summer and winter of 2017 and we are excited to have him rejoin the firm!
Rob received his B.A. in Economics and Religious Studies from Kenyon College. A recent graduate, Rob brings an eager enthusiasm to his Associate Advisor role where he will be growing his knowledge base across all areas of financial planning and investment management.

Previously, he worked as Head of Operations for Nelson Capital Management, a registered investment advisor with $2 Billion in assets under management.
His primary responsibility is managing the firm’s daily operations. This includes workflow and project oversight, financial & portfolio accounting, computer network administration, trading, performance reporting and client service functions.

Prior to transitioning into investment advisory services in 2007, she worked with a specialized equity transactions team at UBS Financial Services and Morgan Stanley in Santa Barbara, CA. Her current responsibilities include trading, portfolio administration and client service. Melissa received her B.A. in Economics from the University of California, Santa Barbara. She lives in San Francisco with her husband Jesse.
